NOC Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and maintaining the Sofia Connect network elements and IP networks through the use of management tools, in order to ensure that it is operated in accordance with the standard NOC procedures.
- Resolve problems through escalation when appropriate.
- Participate in administrative duties.
- Interface with customers and vendors as required to maintain high network availability.
Qualifications:
- 2 or more years working in a NOC or ISP. Strong IP technical background, excellent oral and customer service communication skills and an ability to work in a team environment.
- Thorough understanding and experience with WAN protocols and circuits.
Required Skills:
- IP Networking knowledge including networking protocols (BGP, IGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS...), IP addressing, DNS and IP-VPNs is required.
- Monitoring software and ticketing system.
- Two years experience minimum on the management of Telecom Networks based on IP.
- Technical vocation, good team worker and capacity to work under pressure.
